Beyblade X Launchers

Launchers (winder and string types) are what you use to rip a bey into the stadium; a stronger launch means more speed and power. This page lists all 4 Launchers in the Beyblade X line, with details and where to buy each on Amazon.

Winder or String Launcher: Which to Buy First

Most new Beyblade X players should start with a winder launcher. It uses a toothed plastic strip: pull it through once and the bey spins up. The Winder Launcher carries the first product code in the line, BX-01, and every right spin bey in the Takara Tomy catalog launches from it, which makes it the low friction choice for a first setup, a younger blader, or a gift.

The string launcher is the upgrade rather than the starting point. Its internal cord retracts on its own, so you can relaunch immediately and hit the same power more consistently, which matters once you care about shoot technique. If you battle regularly, or you are buying for a competitive minded blader, going straight to the String Launcher (BX-07) is a sensible first purchase; it just takes a little practice to master.

All 4 Takara Tomy Beyblade X Launchers Compared

The Takara Tomy Beyblade X line currently counts four launchers. Three are Right-Spin and one is Left-Spin, which is the single most important spec to check. The table covers the decision points; each product page keeps the full detail.

The Hold Launcher (UX-09) is the newest right-spin option. As the name suggests, it is built around holding the bey ready before release, which makes aiming and setup easier. It suits bladers who already own a basic launcher and want more control at launch, not first time buyers.

Left-Spin Beys Need the Winder Launcher L

The three launchers above (BX-01, BX-07, UX-09) are all Right-Spin, and a right-spin launcher physically cannot launch a left-spin bey: the winding direction is reversed. The Winder Launcher L, is the only Left-Spin launcher in the catalog, released in Japan on March 21st, 2025, so if a left spin bey is on your shopping list, this launcher belongs in the same order.

Left-spin releases are the minority in Beyblade X, but if one turns up in a random booster pull or a special release, it will not run on right spin gear. Owning one right spin launcher plus the Winder Launcher L is enough to launch the entire lineup.

Do You Need a Separate Launcher? Sets, Included Gear and Upgrades

It depends on the format. Starters and battle sets in the Takara Tomy line are generally sold as ready-to-play packages, while single booster beys are generally sold without launch gear. Check the listed contents on the product page of the exact box you are considering rather than assuming anything is included.

Standalone launchers earn their place in three cases: a second player at home, a spare, or an upgrade from starter gear. If you are building a two-player setup around a stadium, plan for two launchers from the start, since every blader launches with their own.

Launcher Questions Bladers Actually Ask

Is there a Beyblade X anime launcher? Not as a retail product: the accessory line has no launcher by that name, and the four models above are the full official lineup, so pick from the winder and string types compared here.

Do beyblades come with a string launcher? Not by default. The string type is its own product, coded BX-07 in the Takara Tomy Beyblade X line, and a bey sold on its own should be treated as launcher not included until its product page says otherwise.

Can one launcher cover a whole collection? Any of the three Right-Spin launchers works with any right spin bey; the only hard split in the lineup is spin direction. For setup basics, compatibility and battle rules, the FAQ collects the recurring questions.
