Beyblade X

Beyblade X is the latest generation of the Beyblade franchise, introducing significant innovations in both top design and battle mechanics.

General Functioning of Beyblade X Tops

Beyblade X tops are made up of three main components:

  • Blade: The main part that comes into contact with the opponent. It’s made of metal and plastic and determines the top’s attack style.
  • Ratchet: Connects the blade to the bit, determines the top’s height, and affects its burst resistance.
  • Bit (Tip): The bottom part that touches the stadium, influencing movement and stability. It’s also known as the tip of the top.

X‑Dash System (Key Innovation)

In this generation, Beyblade stadiums feature an X‑Line — a rail with grooves similar to gear teeth. When a Beyblade X top’s tip engages with this X‑Line, it rapidly accelerates, creating opportunities for powerful and spectacular attacks.

Beyblade Burst

The Burst generation introduced the signature Burst Finish—tops can burst (disassemble) on heavy impact, creating high-stakes, explosive battles.

Core Structure of Burst Tops

A Burst top is built from three primary parts:

  • Energy Layer (Layer): The upper component that engages the opponent and houses the burst mechanism. Its shape, contact points, and built-in features define attack patterns and burst resistance.
  • Forge Disc: The metal middle piece that sets overall weight and distribution, influencing inertia, stability, and stamina.
  • Performance Tip (Driver): The bottom part contacting the stadium; it governs movement type (Attack/Defense/Stamina/Balanced). Internal springs and gimmicks contribute to burst resistance and mobility.

Burst System Highlights & Sub-Series

Dual Layer System • God Layer / SwitchStrike (layer gimmicks, bound attacks) • Cho-Z / Turbo (heavier builds, burst stoppers) • GT / Gatinko (modular layer bases & chips) • Sparking / Superking (chassis, longer contact) • HyperSphere & SpeedStorm (stadium-driven movement) • QuadDrive / QuadStrike (mode-switching tips and layered customization).
